About the project:

With the rise of social networking and online sharing in our society, problems such as overexposure and voyeurism are beginning to surface. Facebook profiles are packed with personal details; interests, friends, locations, pictures, and with enough digging and a little bit of online voyeurism a very clear personal narrative can be uncovered. This is where the trueUnetwork begins.

While we explored the idea of using Facebook as a narrative, we were constantly challenged to figure out how to bend the familiar look and purpose of Facebook to tell a multi-layered narrative of our own. As the world of social networking is consistently expanding and bursting with intimate and revealing stories of its own, so too will this new form of online narrative. The storytelling opportunities within social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blogs is seemingly endless and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to take advantage of these mediums to form a deeper narrative.
